Here's a video review of the Toshiba NB505 Netbook:

Here's an excerpt from a 5/5 star rating reviewer of the Toshiba NB505:

"Great little netbook at an affordable price. Specs are pretty standard for a 2010/2011 netbook: 1G RAM, 250Gb HD, 3 USB ports, basic video camera, separate Mic & headphone jacks, sd card slot, vga output and a very useful 8h battery life.

There are a lot of netbooks like this on the market, but what really stands out for me on this one is the keyboard, FULL size main keys with ALL the cursor movement keys: DEDICATED up, down, right, left, PGUP, PGDN, HOME and END. I work a lot with excel spreadsheets and it is really uncomfortable to move pressing fn+end/up orf+end/down or ctrl+fn+home, ctrl+fn+end, etc. to move around. Also scrolling with pgup/pgdown while reading a long web page is a pain when you have to press also the fn key! With most netbooks you have to live with the fn key, not in this case, the NB505 keyboard is really practical and comfortable, almost like a full laptop or pc keyboard, even do the position of the keys is not standard, they let you do the work easier and faster.

I also really like the case feeling: like some very soft rubbery cover, it looks nice and grips nice!

Windows 7 Starter is really basic, but you can find programs, utilities and tips on the Internet to take care of the basic "missing features" like changing the background image, colors, sounds, re-size pictures, etc. I got rid of most of the Toshiba utilities and also Norton, and installed MS Security and my preferred freeware home edition utilities.

I would have liked to have stereo speakers, but the netbook only includes a mono speaker under the unit...."

You can't go wrong with the Toshiba NB505 as a gift for yourself or a loved one...It has been rated at about 4.5 stars out of five by 318 customers at Amazon...And it's the most wished for Netbook at Amazon too...

Review KitchenAid Mixer Plus Top 10 Best Selling Small Kitchen Appliances at Amazon

Give The Gift of Tasty Treats With the help of a Top-rated KitchenAid Mixer

Everyone just loves this gift-giving season for many reasons...And traditionally in most workplaces you will find folks bringing in sweet treats to share with their co-workers...Homemade goodies are some of the best things people love to sample...So in keeping with the holiday spirit, I've chosen to review the KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer...This nice kitchen gadget will come in handy this next few weeks to make your homemade dessert and bread making easy breezy...

The KitchenAid Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer averages about a 4.5 out 5 rating with nearly 1,270 Amazon reviewers...That's crazily amazing...What's even better is that it is currently 40% off...So instead of paying the regular price of $499.99 it is deeply discounted to $299.99 right now...

A purchaser of the KitchenAid KP26M1XNP Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer, Nickel Pearl had this to say:

"I have been using this mixer for over a year now. Its a great investment and well worth the price.

Pros: Good speed settings from high to low. Some mixers are too fast on low speed and too quick on high. This on one has many uniform steps in speed to mix anything you throw at it. The soft start function ensures you aren't painting your walls when you flip it on. It is a very well built machine that looks nice and has amazing power. We use a very stiff and heavy dough mix for our bread recipe and it churns out a 4 loaf batch with ease. I've never been concerned that it was overloaded or was going to overheat. I was originally going to purchase a Bosch mixer before I found this one and I'm very glad I didn't. Save your money and buy some of the great attachments that go with mixer instead. The pasta maker is way fun and works great!

Cons: 1)Sometimes it has problems picking up small batches like whipping two egg whites. I have to tip the mixer occasionally to get it to grab when the bowl isn't very full. 2)This is a heavy piece of equipment. Don't give it to your 80 year old grandmother and expect her to be lugging it from the counter to the pantry.

Over all I'd buy this machine over any other on the market if your a part time or full time cook. The well built quality and construction will last for many years. I'd also give it a 5 star rating and thoroghly recomend it to anyone looking to update their mixer."

"Smokin' Joe" Frazier and "Heavy D" both died on November 8, 2011...

Boxing fans worldwide and Hip Hop Music fans around the globe are mourning the deaths of two great men, each in their respective arenas...Boxing legend "Smokin' Joe" Frazier died from the effects of liver cancer at the age of 67 in Philadelphia on the same day as "Heavy D"...

Joe Frazier's professional boxing record was 32-4-1 with 27 knockouts...He held the World Heavyweight Championship belt from 1968 to 1973...Before turning professional, Frazier also won the heavyweight gold medal in the 1964 Summer Olympic Games...Although he defeated Muhammad Ali, his archenemy, in the 15th round in the 1971 "Fight of the Century", he was defeated by Ali in the 14th round in the 1975 "Thrilla in Manila" fight in the Philippines... The infamous boxing promoter Don King said that Frazier was, "the embodiment of what a great heavyweight champion and person should be."...

Sadly enough Dwight Arrington Myers, bka "Heavy D", also died on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at the age of 44 apparently of respiratory distress after having flu-like symptoms the day before prompting a visit to the
doctor...And his cousin, Ruddy Phillips said that he had been complaining of having a "touch of pneumonia"... Heavy D turned actor after first achieving success as a rapper, record producer, singer and the former leader of Heavy D and the Boyz...Heavy D was nominated for several awards including four grammys and won the award for Best Rap Album in 1990 at the Soul Train Awards...Having acted on television and in motion pictures his latest work can be seen in theaters now in the film "Tower Heist", which was premiered just four days before his death...

It's truly a sad and crazy coincidence that these two truly great men died on the same day...

Wedding, Wedding, Wedding, Divorce...Goooo Tigers (LSU) !!!

Everyone knows the Royal Wedding took place at Westminster Abbey on April 29th... But Halloween gave us wedding fans an opportunity to revisit the fanfare six months later thanks to the creative folks at NBC's Today Show...Kate Middleton was represented by Ann Curry, while Matt Lauer donned a uniform as Prince William...

Wedding, Wedding, Wedding, Divorce,...The Royal Wedding (April 29th), Kim Kardashian's Lavish Televised Wedding (August 20th)...The Today Show's Royal Wedding reenactment (October 31st), Kim Kardashian's Divorce (November 1st)... Well the Kardashian Klan is taking a lot of flack for the divorce for sure...It just seems a little bit orchestrated by whom, we may never know...4 million viewers for Kim's televised wedding on E!...The rights to the wedding were sold for $17.9 million...Now Kim has a 20.5 carat engagement ring and $172,000 worth of gifts from her wedding registry that she has to decide what to do with...Well that's reality TV for ya...

Meanwhile back at the ranch, most folks are trying to hang on to their homes, hoping to find a way for themselves and their families once unemployment runs out and probably hoping and praying that social security doesn't just take a nose dive...If nothing else we have TV and college football to keep us entertained, right?!?...Naw...That just goes to show you one of the reasons why I say..."This Crazy Life!!!"...GEAUX TIGERS !!!
