See NOAA's National Hurricane Center's website should you be in the path of a dangerous storm...

With Moammar Gadhafi dead and buried, his fugitive son, Saif al-Islam is trying to negotiate a surrender to the Hague war crimes court...The British educated son of the slain leader of Libya is somewhere in the desert hoping that an unnamed country can broker a deal with the International Criminal Court (ICC) for his, and others with him, safe passage from Libya to prison...The tragic loss of lives in Libya are unthinkable on many levels...The destruction that began at the hands of the former regime of Libya and ended with aid from foreign entities will be difficult for the people of that land to recover from for many years to come...

The destruction and might of Hurricane Irene, a category 3 major hurricane was witnessed from the Bahamas and over time and distance weakened to a category 1 hurricane as it landed near Eastern North Carolina's Outer bank on August 27th...NOAA's National Hurricane Center had issued an advisory for Category 1 Hurricane Rina as of 5pm, EDT on October 26, 2011, but has removed it since that time since Rina has weakened...Hurricane Rina was located approximately 170 miles south-southeast of Cozumel Mexico (nice place to visit, btw, when it's not hurricane season of course) when the advisory was issued... Nearly up to the minute tracking of storms located in the Eastern Pacific and Atlantic Oceans can be found at the NOAA's National Hurricane Center's website...You also find links to local Emergency Prepardness Offices where you will find out what you can do to protect yourself, your family and property, in the event that you should wind up in the path of one of those crazy storms...It was nearly seven years ago, when Katrina bounded through many areas of the greater New Orleans area and left many stranded and dead including one of my uncles...
