My Unwilling Witch Gets a Makeover

My Unwilling Witch Gets a Makeover
by Hiawyn Oram (Children's New Book Display)(2010)
for ages 6-9 years

Rumblewick is witch Hagatha Agatha's (Haggy Aggy for short) contractually bound familiar, or animal. He is bound to assist her in all things witch, and to obey her commands. The problem is that Haggy Aggy doesn't really want to be a witch, which reflects badly on poor Rumblewick.

In this newest installment of the story Rumblewick must contend with the fact that Haggy Aggy wishes to dress in all pink, instead of all black as witch's do. He tries to cover her faux pas by saying it is part of her wonderfully horrible Fright Night costume. Not only that, but she also wants a makeover like they get on the "other side." As you can see, she's definitely an unwilling witch who complicates Rumblewick's life. -SC-
